Hubris!

Not even the combined star power of King and Queen Obama and their Grand Vizier Oprah could bring the Olympics to the city of Chicago.

I'm really stunned about how this played out.   I was one of those who was absolutely certain that the fix was in.  It's almost unfathomable that with all the criticism that Obama has been taking about his celebrity presidency and the lack of real leadership on important issues that he would put his ass on the line and have such a grand pratfall on the global stage.  Who in the hell is advising this guy?

Politically it will be interesting to see how this effects the Obama agenda.  It might just be a small blip but sometimes the small things are the ones that kill 'ya.   But one thing you can say for sure no President wants to be standing around with egg on his face.  Especially, this one, who has taken self regard to such Olympian heights.  (Sorry, couldn't resist that one.)
