The Road to Serfdom continues apace.

San Fran Nan.  Bestower of all gifts.
Paid for with someone else's money.

Nancy "You Could Bounce A Dime Off My Face" Pelosi, convinced enough of her caucus to walk the plank in 2010 to pass a healthcare bill in the dead of Saturday night that no one read or could possibly understand if they did.  One Republican voted for it.  This will be hailed by The Bamster as bipartisan.

Next step is the Senate where we will see how many Senators want to keep their cushy jobs and perks.  To those of you who voted for this Hopey Changey circus, when your kids futures are stifled because of the confiscatory taxes needed to pay for this monstrosity, don't complain.  When your mom is told at 70 she's too old for a triple bypass, those of us who saw this coming don't want to hear any bitching.

But rest assured, your congress critters and your big lib Hollywood celebs won't be getting the same DMV health care you will.

Fuck you, Little People.

  1. Fondly, the following quote comes to mind when I read some of your posts:
"Nature not content with denying him the ability to think, has endowed him with the ability to write". -- A. E. Housman :)

You can take that as a backhanded compliment.

The only beneficiaries of a defeated healthcare bill with a public option are the drug and hospital corporations and maybe your drug chains, and of course all the politicians who get kickback.

Always the same ploy used by you guys, spread the fear. Did you forget about Medicare? Works pretty well I'm told. Better than GM,at least.
    Did you see this?
    Even casket mark-up must pale.
You are like the rest of corporate America, diverse opinions are ok as long as the votes go your way:)

Oh, I have conservative friends who always seem to default to personal attacks (Pelosi) when things don't go their way. While this tactic is not uniquely a right wing one, it certainly seems to predominate on your side of the argument. I guess that is because it is childishly funny to you? Thats ok, it is still a free country, kind of sort of.

  2. Just trying to have a little fun here in a crazy, mixed up world, tbird. Childishly funny, I take that as a compliment. Thank you.

It's nice that you acknowledge that the right hardly corners the market on personal attacks. (Although we predominate apparently.) I seem to remember a reader of mine...hmmmmm....what was his name? Oh, yeah...tbird. He called Rush Limbaugh "a hypocritical right wing asshole" and "a corpulent fraud and drug abusing sycophant" and "bald headed, fat, cigar smoking swine."

Not that I cared or even called you on the ad hominem attack at the time, because this site doesn't pretend to be National Review or Commentary. I enjoy watching the shit fly. But I think you would even admit that qualified as a personal attack.

  3. Just having a bit of fun too, FG.. Thanks for reminding me about Limbaugh. I loved seeing my quotes about him again!
