Musings on all sorts of things. Politics, current events, music, movies, celebrity culture and, of course, death related issues. My sense of humor can be raunchy, risque and ribald so be warned that you may find some salaciousness here.

Why The Funeral Guy
Why I became The Funeral Guy is different from why I decided to work with the dead and their families. That is a long story for another time. I started calling myself The Funeral Guy soon after I began at the funeral home. I was in the front office one morning when a sort of rough biker type dude came in the door. Now we do get our share of "walk-ins" because we happen to be down the street from a hospital. (How's that for smart business?) So I went up to the man and asked if I could be of any assistance. The gentleman quite matter-of-factly said , "My mom just died down the street. Are you the funeral guy?" I've always been a lover of how Americans use language. I've been The Funeral Guy ever since.
